The Kia Syros demonstrated exceptional protection for both adult and child occupants. In the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) tests, the Syros scored a remarkable 30.21 points out of a possible 32. Notably, it achieved 14.21 points out of 16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test. The Syros provided “good” protection for most body regions, with “adequate” protection for the driver’s chest and tibias, and the passenger’s right tibia. In the side movable deformable barrier test, the Syros achieved a perfect score of 16 out of 16, with “good” protection for all body parts. The Syros also received an “OK” rating in the challenging side impact pole test.
For Child Occupant Protection (COP), the Syros scored an impressive 44.42 points out of 49. The dynamic score was 23.42 points out of 24, the child restraint system (CRS) installation tests scored a perfect 12 out of 12, and the vehicle assessment scores resulted in 9 points out of 13. Bharat NCAP tested the Syros with dummies representing 18-month-old and 3-year-old children.
